WAA Special Election Result Announcement - Dennis R. Mortensen, Director of Data Insights at Yahoo! elected onto Board of Directors at Web Analytics Association.

Dear Members:

I am pleased to announce that the WAA Membership has elected Dennis R. Mortensen, Director of Data Insights at Yahoo!, to the Board of Directors. Dennis will serve through May, 2010.
Dennis is a pioneer and expert in the Web Analytics industry - having worked in the field of internet analysis and statistics since 1996. He is a thought leader in web analytics and online marketing and we are delighted to have him on board. I know that he will be a tremendous asset to the Board as we work to lead and support the online marketing analytics profession in the years ahead.

I would like to thank each of the six extremely qualified nominees who ran for this seat. I continue to be impressed with the outstanding caliber of nominees - and their willingness to serve the organization. We are grateful for your commitment to WAA and its members.

I also would like to thank WAA members for taking time to consider each of the candidates and their platforms, and for casting your ballots. (Which was not an easy process!) Your active participation is what makes WAA a strong organization.
